Hey everyone, just wanted to share my recent experience with Phils Cars. I've always been a bit wary of online car auctions, especially buying sight-unseen, but I really needed a reliable family SUV and dealership prices were just insane. I stumbled upon philscars.com and saw they had a good selection of crossovers and SUVs. I ended up bidding on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 and to my surprise, I actually won! The bidding process was straightforward, and I felt like I got a pretty fair deal, coming in at around $23,000 USD, which was definitely better than what I was seeing locally for similar models.
After winning, a sales agent contacted me almost immediately. They were super helpful, walking me through the deposit process (I paid about 20% upfront, which was applied directly to the purchase price) and explaining the next steps for delivery. Since I'm in Louisiana, they arranged cross-state transport from their Houston, Texas location. The delivery took about a week, and the driver kept me updated. When the RAV4 arrived, I was pretty nervous, but the 10-day inspection period gave me some peace of mind. I really put that car through its paces.
I gotta say, the multi-point inspection report they provided was pretty spot on. A few minor cosmetic dings that were already noted, but mechanically, the car was solid. No surprises there, which was a huge relief. The agent also guided me through getting all the title transfer and DMV paperwork sorted for my state, which can be a real headache sometimes. Overall, it was a surprisingly smooth process for a first-time auction buyer. Definitely a solid option if you're looking for a good deal on a used car and don't mind the online auction format. Phils Cars Auction really delivered for me.

Hey, that's awesome to hear! I've been eyeing Phils Cars for a while, but was a bit nervous about buying sight unseen. Your experience with the RAV4 sounds promising.

Totally get the skepticism! I went for a Ford F-150 through philscars.com last month and was super relieved that the multi-point inspection report was spot on. The 10-day inspection period really gives peace of mind.

So glad your agent was helpful! My sales agent was a rockstar too, guiding me through the deposit and title transfer for my Honda CR-V. Made the whole process from Houston to Louisiana smooth.

What was the price range for your RAV4, if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking for a solid family SUV and trying to gauge if the Phils Cars Auction prices are as good as they seem.

I'm always skeptical about 'repossessed' vehicles, but it sounds like Phils Cars really stands by their inspection reports. Good to know the description matched what you received.

The 10-day inspection period is the real game-changer for me. It means you're not stuck if something is seriously off. That's a huge plus compared to other auctions I've looked at.

Did you have to arrange transport yourself, or did Phils Cars handle the delivery entirely? I'm in Oklahoma and wondering about cross-state delivery options for a pickup truck.

I agree about the comparison to dealerships. I found a much better deal on a sedan at philscars.com than anything I saw locally, even with the delivery fee. Plus, no pressure tactics!

That's awesome you got your paperwork sorted quickly. The DMV can be a pain, so having the agent help with title transfer and registration is a huge relief.

Your story mirrors my experience with a Nissan Rogue from Phils Cars Auction. From the winning bid to delivery, everything was straightforward. Definitely a solid deal!
